Year 6 are enjoying their post-SATS science, learning about how light reflects.
6P has returned to school after the 2 weeks 2 days Easter break, determined to do their very best to prepare for their SATs in 4 weeks time!

We've now started using our own bar models to solve some worded problems.

This week in Art Club we used pine cones to create Christmas wreaths.
These are our finished poppy artworks.
First we used a mix of black paint and pva glue to “pipe” the outline of the flowers then we used reds, yellows and orange watercolour paints to paint the poppies, finishing off with a black background wash to make the poppies “pop”.

Year 6 visited the local cenotaph to pay our respects and to look at the wreaths.
Using black paint, water and glue we made a waterproof border to start this artwork. Special thanks to Mrs Riggs and Miss Man.

Our topic work is coming together nicely! We have created some Blitz inspired artwork using oil pastels, and our poppies are made and ready for our remembrance assembly on Friday.
