Today is world bee day, we have been learning about bees. We made badges campaigning to save the bees. At playtime the other children were curious about our badges so we shared our learning. We also tasted some delicious honey, THANK YOU BEES!
Year 3 enjoyed a Tudor Workshop at Gainsborough Old Hall. We explored some of the Tudor bedrooms and saw the room that King Henry Viii stayed in when he visited. We all had our own job roles and took part in preparing and serving a banquet for King Henry!
Year 3 had a very special visitor in today. King Henry VIII himself came in for the day to help introduce our new 'Horrible Histories' topic. Year 3 are learning all about the 'Terrible Tudors' and King Henry VIII is what we are learning about first! We loved it!
Year 3 have been continuing their musical journey with Nikki Reed. They love learning the recorder!
3C chose Brayden to represent our class on the School Council. Congratulations, Brayden!
Year 2 have been growing all sorts in their classrooms ...... from mushrooms to caterpillars!
And look how much they have grown!!
The caterpillars are now chrysalides and the mushrooms are ready to eat.
We planted our sunflower seeds today just before the rain came. We can't wait to see how tall they grow!
As part of our staying alive topic we have been learning the names of different trees. We haven't got many on our school field but luckily the teachers have lots of British trees on their classroom doors for us to look at.
We made the most of the weather today and took a trip to our local woods to see woodland creatures in their natural habitat.
We iced our cakes this morning with yummy pink icing. It was a sticky job!
Today we have been baking cakes for the lonely beast to have with his cup of tea.
Tomorrow we will be icing them with pink icing becasue that it his favourite.
We will then write instructions for how to make them.
