Today is world bee day, we have been learning about bees. We made badges campaigning to save the bees. At playtime the other children were curious about our badges so we shared our learning. We also tasted some delicious honey, THANK YOU BEES!
Last week Year 3 visited Year 5 to compare The Tudor Period to The Egyptian Period. The Year 5 children were so knowledgeable and helpful we found out so much!
These two are our first ROCK HEROES in year 3! They can answer their multiplications and division in less than 1 second. I am SO proud of them! Well done girls!!
Year 3 have been sharing stories with Year 1 this afternoon for World Book Day.
Look at our amazing World Book Day outfits! Such a fabulous effort made as usual!
We went to the auditorium to watch Horrible Histories Live! It was great! There were even 3-D parts that made us jump!
We have spent our maths lesson collecting data about our favourite pancake toppings. We then analysed the data and recorded it into pictograms. Then in the afternoon we tried and tested our toppings! Yum!
We have been learning how to measure in cm and mm. We been converting cm into mm when measuring our Tudor houses!
We have been using Internet Safety Day to have discussions about staying safe online. We have have had some really mature and interesting conversations in Year 3.
Year 3 enjoyed a Tudor Workshop at Gainsborough Old Hall. We explored some of the Tudor bedrooms and saw the room that King Henry Viii stayed in when he visited. We all had our own job roles and took part in preparing and serving a banquet for King Henry!
Today we rediscovered our Seesaw accounts to upload some pictures of Henry VIII. We found the images online, took a screenshot and uploaded them. We then added some facts and tried to change the font.
Year 3 had a very special visitor in today. King Henry VIII himself came in for the day to help introduce our new 'Horrible Histories' topic. Year 3 are learning all about the 'Terrible Tudors' and King Henry VIII is what we are learning about first! We loved it!
